INGREDIENTS:
- 4 Tbsp : Custard Powder
- 1 litre milk
- One n half cup Gulab Jamun Mix
- 3 Tbsp Powdered sugar
- Some butter while making pancakes
- Sugar Syrup ( Boil 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water until thick Like a syrup )
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- Chopped Pineapple & Chopped Oranges ( small pieces ). You can also use strawberries.
- Crushed Granola Bars ( if it’s unavailable , you can also use crushed chocolate chips cookie without cream )
- Choco Chips to Garnish
METHOD:
TO MAKE CUSTARD :
- In a saucepan, add the milk and let it come to a boil.
- While milk is boiling, take a cup and add custard powder with little cold milk.
- Once milk comes to a boil, add sugar in it and stir. ( you can add sugar according to your taste ).
- While stirring, slowly add custard milk and keep stirring to avoid lumps. Let it boil for more 2-3 minutes.
- Take the pan off flame and let it cool at room temperature.
- Once it cools down, add the vanilla essence to it and mix well.
TO MAKE PANCAKES :
- In a bowl , add gulab jamun mix . Now slowly add some milk to it and mix well.
- Add some powdered sugar and whisk well.
- Now take a non stick pan . When it’s hot enough , brush the pan with some butter.
- Pour a spoonful ( small round serving spoon ) of batter on pan.
- Cook the pancakes on both the sides until it turns light golden brown in colour.
- Keep making more pancakes one at a time.
- Get the pancakes off the flame and brush them with sugar syrup.
FINAL STEP TO MAKE THE DESSERT :
- Take a medium serving glass, place some chopped fruits at the bottom.
- Top it with some crushed granola bars or crushed Choco cookies.
- Then pour some custard over it.
- Cut the pancakes with a mould that fits your serving glass.
- Now layer the pancake over the custard and again pour more of custard till top .
- Garnish it with some fruits and crushed cookies or crushed granola bars & Choco chips.
- Keep it in refrigerator for atleast 2 hours before serving or until set .
YOUR DESSERT IS READY TO BE SERVED ..
NOTES :
- Custard should be thick so if it’s not that thick add some more custard powder with milk and add to it
- Add sugar in the custard according to your taste.
- Pancake batter should be of thick pouring consistency. Not too liquidy.
- The servings depends on the glass size you are using.
